Are you an experienced leader in the construction industry with a strong background in commercial projects? We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of specialist construction services across NSW and QLD, with some national travel required.

The Role:
This is a hands-on leadership position, responsible for managing the operations of a team of 20+ staff plus subcontractors and labour hire as needed. You will oversee 10–12 projects at any given time, ensuring seamless execution from planning to completion while maintaining profitability, compliance, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
* Project Oversight – Managing multiple commercial projects, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion.
* Leadership & Team Management – Leading a team of site supervisors, project managers, estimators, and office staff to drive performance and efficiency.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Communicating effectively with Tier 1 builders, councils, and key stakeholders, ensuring strong working relationships.
* Risk & Compliance – Overseeing site operations, compliance, and safety while mitigating potential risks.
* Budget & Reporting – Managing project budgets and providing regular updates to directors.
* Site Presence – Conducting regular site visits to ensure quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in the construction/building industry, particularly in commercial projects.
* Strong understanding of site operations – ability to read plans, problem-solve, and manage risk.
* Experience in high-rise or large-scale projects preferred, with expertise in costings, quality control, and compliance.
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills, able to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure, ensuring smooth workflows and effective project delivery.
