The Opportunity
As a Contracts Manager at RCC, you’ll oversee the commercial and risk management of major projects, ensuring smooth contract execution, cost control, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. You’ll be a key player in delivering projects that are on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
* Risk & Compliance – Identify, assess, and mitigate contract risks while ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
* Contract Execution & Oversight – Manage and enforce the terms and conditions of contracts, ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations.
* Cost & Financial Management – Monitor and manage contract costs to keep projects within budget, optimizing financial performance.
* Expert Support – Provide expert advice to project teams, proactively resolving contractual and financial issues.
* Collaboration – Work closely with project managers, legal counsel, and stakeholders to ensure seamless and successful project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
* Education & Experience – A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Law, Business, or a related field, with proven experience in managing head and subcontractor contracts in the construction industry.
* Sector Experience – Experience with large-scale ($200m+) construction projects is highly desirable.
* Skills & Expertise – Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to Detail – Highly organized, with the ability to manage head and subcontracts to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Team Player – Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is a private, family-owned construction company that has been building for government and private clients since 1976. Our business is based on maintaining long-term relationships with clients, partners and subcontractors.
We believe the success of every project depends on the ability of our personnel and the synergy of our project teams. With 550 full time staff, our personnel’s depth of experience enables the company to deliver 50 projects at any one time across all major industry sectors for projects up to $250m in value.
With our original and head office in Sydney, we provide localised client service with offices in Tamworth, Newcastle and Canberra. Delivering projects in regional locations is a large part of our business. On average 30% of our projects have been delivered regionally, including major projects such as the Tamworth Hospital and the South Coast Correctional Centre.
Being multi-skilled and diversified across project size, delivery form, building type, and location allows us to tailor our service to suit our client’s specific requirements, risk preferences, priorities and concerns.
