About the Role:
As a Team Leader in the Finance and Procurement team, you will provide strategic leadership and drive excellence in financial planning and reporting processes. Your responsibilities will span financial performance reporting, capital project management, budget development, and driving financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a dynamic team within Finance and Procurement.
2. Oversee financial performance reporting and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
3. Work with senior leaders to drive financial sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
4. Manage and provide strategic direction in financial analysis, asset management, and treasury operations.
5. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Position Requirements:
1. Proven leadership skills and experience in financial management within large organisations, preferably in local government.
2. Expertise in budget development, financial reporting, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting.
3. Strong project management capabilities and the ability to lead change initiatives.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
