Head of IT (f/m/d) @ A1 GCEO Area - Group Technology & Transformation
The Unit "Group Technology & Transformation" exists to strengthen Opcos and support their growth. Our work centers around building data-driven strategies, defining KPIs, learning out of execution feedback and deriving strategy input from it, and suggesting improvements. Additionally, we develop the operating model of A1 further by initiating and developing CDCs, ensuring ongoing execution, and challenging for better KPIs.
As a leader within Group Technology & Transformation, you will be responsible for creating and embodying four key strategies:
* Business & Technology: Bridge the gap between business objectives and technology solutions, driving innovation and efficiency.
* Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure optimal resource allocation and alignment with business goals.
* Operating Model: Shape and optimize the operating model to enhance organizational effectiveness and agility.
* Human@Center: Incorporate our Human@Center behaviors into your daily work. Prioritize people-centric approaches, fostering a positive work environment and employee well-being.
In addition, each role will operate based on three essential cornerstones:
* Transparency: Ensure transparency in the strategy and execution process with OpCos and CDCs with KPIs.
* Standardization: Foster consistent processes and system harmonization in the operating companies.
* Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data insights to inform strategic choices and achieve impactful outcomes.
Job purpose
* As the strategic lead for the IT domain, you are defining the domain strategy for the entire Group.
* Define and maintain focused IT architecture guidelines to drive our cloud migration and readiness for AI, ensuring scalability, reliability and security in alignment with business needs.
* Drive the standardization of IT processes, hardware, and software and platform stacks across different countries within the Group, ensuring consistency and achieving our business results.
* Manage Key Stakeholders in the IT domain across Group, CDC and Opcos.
* Actively contribute to the success of the A1 group by leveraging IT strategies to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and market growth through strategic IT initiatives, leveraging technology to drive innovation and business transformation.
* Drive the initial setup of key initiatives and projects and support the initial steps until they reach their necessary maturity level.
* Although you are not responsible for execution, you are measured on the deliverables of the Opcos and CDCs which contribute to those targets, measured against them by numbers, tangible results and stakeholder satisfaction in general.
What you do
* Bridge the gap between transformative business requirements and technological capabilities, working closely with key stakeholders in CDCs, Opcos and America Movil to ensure alignment.
* Define and align the strategic IT architecture for transformative focus topics for our Operations as well as developing a focused roadmap for standardizing IT processes, hardware, and software across the organization.
* Drive the Cloudification and AI IT transformation and make A1 Group more independent from "platform SW vendors" by driving the use of Open Source where feasible.
* Analyze new trends and technologies, and adapt our IT strategy to incorporate those that are beneficial to our objectives.
* Define strategic topics & relevant execution KPIs (e.g. MPC).
* Drive standardization, harmonization and automation efforts together with CDC.
* Define together with the relevant C-level stakeholders the operating model between the Group, the CDC and the Countries.
* Drive the development of innovative Ecosystems and Future Services based on new technology capabilities (“One2Many”).
* Responsible for strategic vendor management & group contracts.
* Identify transformative trends and build key know-how by maintaining relationships with vendors, industry peers and partners.
* Drive efficiency programs and leverage efficiency opportunities via harmonization/consolidation, automation & synergies with all relevant stakeholders (automation, benchmarking).
* Drive transformational projects.
* Act as the direct interface towards the countries, the CDC and America Movil regarding IT strategy and implementation of group wide technology goals.
* Lead a small team of experts.
* Ensure any team member has development plans and is nurtured and developed in line with business and personal objectives.
What you offer
* Profound expertise in modern SW Design & Architecture, preferably hands-on experience.
* Extensive knowledge in the Telco- and preferably adjacent industries.
* Knowledge of up to date technologies and trends like Cloud, Microservices, Artificial Intelligence.
* Knowledge of Telco-specific reference architectures and standards (like TMForum) appreciated.
* Degree in technical studies.
* 5+ years in a senior IT management function.
* Experience in managing stakeholders in a complex environment, preferably in matrix and local/Group organization setups.
* Profound knowledge in leading virtual and cross-cultural teams, lateral leadership.
* Skills in conflict resolution.
* Strong capability to think strategically.
* Pragmatism and result-orientation.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills to understand and present complex subjects.
* Striving for constant learning on technical as well as personal level.
* High resilience and endurance, adaptive to fast changing requirements.
* Willingness to permanently learn and improve.
* Professional proficiency in English for negotiations.
* Discipline; MBA is of advantage.

The minimum annual gross salary for this position according to the current collective agreement is EUR 90.000,-. The actual annual salary depends on your skills and experience.
