Key Responsibilities

The Team
ASIC's Regulation and Supervision (R&S) group is responsible for the regulation and supervision of industry sectors (excluding Markets) to promote good market integrity and consumer outcomes. It undertakes proactive surveillance, supervision and monitoring of sector and cross-sector issues as well as considering applications for relief from the law. In addition, the group leads regulatory reform and implementation across all sectors (excluding Markets) and licensing across all sectors.

* Licensing

The Role
As a Regulatory Analyst/Lawyer, your role is to work as part of a team to undertake a range of regulatory and supervisory activities to achieve ASIC's regulatory objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have regulatory or sector-related knowledge, with experience gained in a corporate, consulting, government or academic environment. You will have the demonstrated ability to think strategically, assess complex information and make sound judgements. Your analytical skills should make you adept at working with data, legislation, and policy. Additionally, strong written communication and the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders are essential.
