Job Description
The Raw Materials Purchasing department is seeking a Lead Buyer to oversee the global procurement of Chromium.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and execute procurement strategies aligned with company KPIs, cost efficiency, and quality standards
* Collect and consolidate demands, prepare RFQs for global sourcing
* Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards
* Track and report key performance indicators to measure procurement effectiveness and supplier performance
* Identify potential improvements and steer corresponding actions, including new logistics concepts
* Implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or reliability of supply
* Develop and negotiate agreements with suppliers, manage supplier relationships
* Conduct market analysis, identify alternative raw material sources, and stay up-to-date on market changes
* Risk management, including supplier risks, sustainable supply chain, and due diligence checks
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications a plus)
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in strategic procurement/business, preferably with a focus on raw materials within a global context
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Flexibility and willingness to travel on business
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team
* Proficiency in English language for professional communication
