Paradise Resort Gold Coast prides itself on delivering a resort experience that is a ‘Heaven for Kids and a Paradise for Parents.’ We are on the lookout for an Events and Entertainment Supervisor that is passionate about driving our unique activities, events, shows, and parties.
In this full-time role, you will support the Manager with the operation of the Resort Entertainment department and oversee all Entertainment and Activities around the resort which include, Planet Chill Ice-skating Rink, Pamper Parlour, Dusty’s Safari Train Ride, Climbing Wall, and the Waterpark, just to name a few!
The successful applicant must be a natural leader, highly organised and self-driven to ensure a smooth delivery of all events, shows and activities. An overview of the responsibilities include:
* Be able to plan, schedule and deliver a high volume of activities, shows and events
* Training and supervising staff to ensure all experiences exceed guest expectations
* Complete staff rosters and timekeeping to ensure adequate coverage across the department
* Liaise with the required hotel departments in the event and activity planning process in an effective and efficient manner
* Assist in the development, communication, implementation and review of policies and procedures
* Be pro-active in responding to feedback from guests and resolving any concerns/issues that arise
* Be knowledgeable on all resort offerings to drive consistent sales and upselling on all event packages
* Consistently build our family friendly atmosphere by implementing new and innovative events and activities
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Previous leadership experience as part of a large and fast-paced environment (essential)
* Previous event planning and management experience (essential)
* Proficient communication and organisational skills
* Ability to problem solve and take initiative
* A genuine passion to coach, develop and motivate our staff
* A current working with children check (QLD BlueCard) (essential)
* A current First Aid, CPR and Advanced Resuscitation certificate (essential)
* Ability to be available for a variety of shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and Public Holidays
