Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by multidisciplinary teams, the service offers a variety of care models tailored to meet the diverse needs of expectant mothers and their families.About the roleIn partnership with the Medical Clinical Director of Maternity Services, you will be jointly responsible for the leadership, strategy and operational performance of Maternity Services. You'll ensure effective, efficient and integrated high-quality, evidence-based clinical services are delivered, consistent with the Women's strategic plan, vision and operational and financial accountabilities.Key responsibilities will see you:Provide strategic and clinical leadership across the Women's maternity service and develop the division's annual service plan, ensuring alignment with the Women's key prioritiesProvide a visible leadership presence that inspires others by motivating them towards high levels of performance, aligned with the Women's declaration and valuesAs part of the clinical leadership team, research, socialise, implement and drive service development and improvementFoster a culture of innovation, with respectful, inclusive and collaborative people management across the divisionThis is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished leader to spearhead a centre of excellence, acting as a trusted advisor and recognising the diversity of patients and staff. You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable presenting to media and other maternity services. With evolving models of care ahead, you will be excited by leading transformational change within a high profile organisation.You'll bring with you:Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and/or Midwifery and current AHPRA registration as a Nurse and/or MidwifeSenior leadership and operational management experience within a complex health environment, including demonstrated knowledge of health funding, legislative and regulatory requirements, and proven ability to drive and meet strategic, operational, clinical, and financial targetsDemonstrated experience building a culture that promotes gender equity, respect and a safe working environment, and an understanding of cultural safety, violence against women and family violenceCommitment to developing and enhancing clinical services that recognise the impact of social, cultural and gender determinants on health and wellbeingDemonstrated understanding of the importance of clinical governance, timely, high quality patient care, excellence in clinical practice, and improving the patient experienceExperience in providing visible, inspirational and transformational leadership, providing clear vision and direction, and demonstrated experience in building, leading, and motivating broad, diverse, and complex multidisciplinary teamsPlease note in this role you will need to be available to participate in the clinical on call roster, which is generally for 6 - 7 weeks per year.
