Manager - Performance, WHS and Compliance
The Director of People and Culture is currently seeking a successor, and the successful applicant for this role will be a strong contender for their position in the next 2.5 to 3 years.

The role:
Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you are a proactive and experienced P&C generalist with strong experience in performance management, WHS, compliance, award interpretation, and reporting. The Manager Performance, WHS, and Compliance role provides comprehensive leadership in these critical areas to a team of three.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a high-volume caseload of complex ER/IR matters, including investigations and case management.
* As needed, develop responses and applications for matters before the Fair Work Commission.
* Provide expert and strategic advice on complex matters related to workplace relations, WHS, and performance management.
* Provide expert advice and coaching on ER, Compliance, and WHS.
* Prepare foundation reports for the board on a bi-monthly basis.
* Manage and develop a team of three direct reports: HR/ER BP, P&C Coordinator, and WHS BP.
* Develop, review and implement employment-related policies and procedures.
* Working with the Director P&C and the L&D BP, develop and deliver learning and development programs for people managers.
* Oversee governance and coordination of key groups, including the Work Health and Safety and RAP Committee.
* Key P&C contact for the new HRIS system coming in the next 6 months.
* Monitor changes in employment-related legislation and policy, assess their potential impacts on the organisation, and recommend appropriate and compliant responses.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Extensive experience in senior-level ER/IR roles.
* Strong understanding of Australian employment law and Fair Work Commission processes.
* Demonstrated expertise in WHS and relevant legislative frameworks (e.g., SCHADS award, NES and Fair Work Act).
* Experience leading teams and managing complex employment matters with sound judgment.
* Excellent Excel skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Ability to assess risk and work within the organisation's risk appetite.
* Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role would be desirable; however, problem-solving and critical thinking skills are essential for this role, as is the handling of confidential and highly sensitive information.

* Previous experience in fast-paced, community services-focused organisations like aged care, disability, youth and community housing is desirable.
