Key Responsibilities & Tasks
As an Industry Account Executive, your main goal is to drive business growth by prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new opportunities related to SAP GROW within existing customer accounts. You will leverage your expertise and strategic approach to customer engagement, utilizing SAP's resources to solve customer problems:
* Manage sales for SAP Cloud solutions, especially within the SAP Business Suite strategy.
* Identify opportunities and develop sales strategies to promote SAP Cloud ERP.
* Establish and maintain customer relationships through proactive communication and consultation.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
* Achieve revenue targets and support the company's growth strategy.
Account and Customer Relationship Management
* Manage and nurture account relationships to exceed revenue targets.
* Develop and execute account plans tailored to each customer's needs for sustainable growth.
* Become a trusted advisor by understanding customer requirements and providing value through SAP solutions.
* Gain insights into each customer's technology landscape, growth plans, and competitive environment to offer informed solutions.
* Create comprehensive business plans addressing customer priorities, utilizing value engineering, benchmarking, and ROI data.
Roadmap to Success
* Build customer-centric strategies and own the commercial relationship.
* Lead sales efforts aligned with customer strategies and product roadmaps.
* Secure future success by expanding to cloud solutions and maximizing customer lifetime value.
Demand Generation, Pipeline, and Opportunity Management
* Maintain an organized and current sales pipeline with disciplined follow-up.
* Collaborate with marketing, business development, and partners to generate and nurture leads.
* Leverage SAP cloud offerings, including Industry Solutions, LOB solutions, and technology solutions, to maximize sales.
* Advance and close sales opportunities by executing strategic plans.
* Focus on selling the value of SAP Business Suite and executing up-sell and cross-sell initiatives.
* Coordinate deployment of teams to ensure successful sales outcomes.
* Utilize best practice sales models and effectively position SAP solutions against competitors.
* Keep customer and pipeline data accurate within the CRM system.
Leading a (Virtual) Account Team
* Demonstrate leadership in coordinating remote teams to achieve shared goals.
* Align account teams and partners with each account's strategy for effective customer interactions.
* Maximize the value of all sales support organizations.
Experience & Educational Requirements
* At least 5+ years in complex business software and IT solutions sales.
* Proven success in Business Application software sales.
* Experience leading collaborative sales teams.
* Ability to handle cloud transactions and long sales cycles in a fast-paced, consultative, competitive environment.
* Strong negotiation skills with experience in renewals, expansions, and up-sells of subscription solutions.
* Excellent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
