The Position
As Legal & Compliance Director at Novo Nordisk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring legal integrity, business ethics, and regulatory compliance while fostering a strong compliance culture.
You will be responsible for overseeing legal affairs, managing compliance risks, safeguarding data privacy, and providing expert guidance on regulatory matters. Acting as a strategic advisor, you will drive ethical business practices, support risk assessment, and collaborate cross-functionally to uphold the company’s values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead legal and compliance matters – Oversee legal affairs, ensure regulatory adherence, and manage risks within the affiliate.
* Drive business ethics and compliance – Implement compliance programs, identify risks, and enhance ethical awareness through training and communication.
* Ensure data privacy and security – Maintain oversight of data processing, support risk assessments, and drive responses to breaches or data subject requests.
* Provide strategic legal guidance – Advise on pharma law, competition law, contracts, and key business projects while coordinating with external legal counsel.
* Foster a strong compliance culture – Act as a role model for integrity, collaborate with stakeholders, and support internal investigations and audits.
Qualifications
* Law degree, preferably with a bar exam and certification in data protection or compliance
* Experience in legal or compliance roles within multinational companies or law firms
* Strong knowledge of business ethics and data privacy laws
* Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* High integrity, analytical mindset, and the ability to balance business priorities with legal professionalism
