As the Expert for the Customer & Market International General Secretary team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating administrative, legal, and cross-functional functions across the organization. You will lead through lateral influence and effective interface management, developing and orchestrating the International, cross-functional Corporate Governance CommUNIty and driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders. This position requires a strong combination of leadership skills, legal expertise, and the ability to manage diverse projects within a complex, global environment.
You will ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and oversee regulatory requirements while also managing key interfaces with stakeholders such as Business Models, country teams, and group functions. Your work will be instrumental in fostering innovation and operational excellence across the Customer & Market International scope and selected group-wide initiatives.
What to expect:
* Develop and orchestrate the International Corporate Governance CommUNIty, fostering collaboration and driving alignment across diverse teams.
* Lead and facilitate cross-functional projects, ensuring effective interface management with Business Models, country stakeholders, and group functions such as HR and Legal.
* Oversee the development and implementation of training programs (upskilling/reskilling) for the Corporate Governance CommUNIty and related CommUNities.
* Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the contract database, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor changes in legal and regulatory requirements and effectively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Provide legal advice and support to CommUNIties, including reviewing legal documents and collaborating with Group HR for selected legal topics.
* Collaborate on Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence and legal support.
* Partner with the executive team to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other professional service providers.
What we expect:
* Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in legal, compliance, or risk management roles, ideally within the insurance industry.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and legal frameworks, particularly in the insurance sector.
* Demonstrated experience in lateral leadership, managing interfaces, and driving collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
* Solid experience in M&A processes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
* Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and achieve strategic objectives.
* Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
