Job Title: Sales Manager, Germany and Austria
Position Overview:
As a Sales Manager based in Germany, you will spearhead our sales initiatives across Germany and Austria, focusing on clients within the life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. This position involves co-developing and executing a strategic sales plan to broaden our market footprint, engaging with potential customers, and delivering specialized biophysical solutions that address their unique requirements. This role is critical in establishing long-term partnerships and ensuring a robust presence for our products in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Strategy & Execution:
o Co-develop, implement, and lead a comprehensive sales strategy for Germany that aligns with the company’s growth objectives.
o Identify and target potential clients in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic sectors, with a focus on laboratories and research facilities specializing in biophysical and protein characterization techniques.
o Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, supporting the company’s goals for market penetration and revenue.
* Client Relationship Management:
o Build, develop, and nurture strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, procurement teams, and lab managers.
o Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client challenges and identify opportunities where our technology adds value.
o Serve as the primary point of contact, overseeing the customer experience from initial engagement to post-sale support.
* Technical Sales & Product Presentation:
o Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the applications and benefits of our technology in practical scenarios.
o Keep up-to-date with product developments to provide relevant updates to clients.
o Work closely with the technical support and R&D teams to ensure accurate and effective product knowledge transfer.
* Market Analysis & Expansion:
o Perform market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and new business opportunities within Germany.
o Collect client feedback to communicate to the product and development teams for continuous improvement and innovation.
o Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance brand visibility and connect with prospective customers.
* Pipeline & Sales Administration:
o Maintain a structured pipeline of prospects and clients within CRM tools, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities.
o Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management, detailing achievements, challenges, and strategic adjustments.
Qualifications:
* Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years in a sales role within the life sciences or biotech sectors, ideally with experience in biophysics, protein characterization, or laboratory instrumentation sales.
* Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Biophysics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field; advanced degree (MSc or PhD) preferred.
* Skills & Competencies:
o Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with strong consultative sales skills.
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to a diverse audience.
o Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic market.
o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
