We are providing a massively scalable cloud-based tech stack to power our Bitmovin products. In this team, you will work with a cloud-native microservice architecture that is built to run with AWS, GC, and Azure.This is an opportunity that offers:Development of high-quality, high-performance, fault-tolerant, well-tested, reusable, and scalable code that will be used by Bitmovin’s enterprise customers.Opportunity to work with a modern tech stack including Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK Stack, SonarQube, and CircleCI.Involvement in all stages of development, from product ideation through architecture and execution.Development of new and improvement of existing features as well as opportunity to investigate and resolve issues.Diverse career opportunities and continuous growth.Your ImpactYou will make an impact that matters by:Assisting in planning and implementing code improvements to enhance testability and maintainability under the guidance of senior engineers.Contributing to the stability of our systems by writing unit tests and participating in code reviews for your work.Supporting the maintenance and extension of our monitoring/alerting systems and gaining exposure to CI/CD processes.Learning and adapting to new technologies with the support of the team.Keeping up-to-date with basic technology standards, industry trends, and software development practices.What can you bringBasic knowledge of Java/Kotlin, with some experience in development projects.Exposure to or interest in learning about cloud-native, microservice-based architectures.Enthusiasm for learning software craftsmanship, best practices, design patterns, and clean code principles.Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a willingness to learn and grow in these areas.A positive and adaptable attitude, especially when faced with challenges.Willingness to learn from more experienced team members and gradually take on more responsibility.Be based in Klagenfurt or willing to relocate/commute regularly.You don’t have experience with all the points above?
