International Procurement Buyer, Germany - hybrid working

Do you want to work with a business that is investing significantly in new technologies, has close supplier and stakeholder collaboration, and offers progression and hybrid working with 1 day per week in the office in either Munich or Berlin?

Then this could be for you. We require a Procurement Buyer to join a fast-paced purchasing team undertaking a varied procurement role and playing a crucial part in ensuring the timely availability of equipment and services.
This role includes, but is not limited to:
1. Selecting, qualifying, and developing suppliers as well as monitoring supplier performance.
2. Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
3. Placing and tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries.
4. Negotiating procurement terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers.
5. Developing, advancing, and implementing procurement strategies for assigned projects in close collaboration with the respective project teams.
6. Building and maintaining relationships and proactively collaborating with projects and stakeholders within the company.
7. Proactively identifying and realising cost reduction and optimisation opportunities.
8. Managing risks related to procurement challenges proactively.
9. Identifying and leveraging industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuously enhance efficiency.
You will ideally have:
1. A confident demeanour with strong negotiation skills, proactivity, and a quality-driven mindset.
2. Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills.
3. Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain.
4. Bachelor's degree in business, law, or engineering; alternatively, relevant certifications.
5. A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
7. Enjoy working with business clients and cross-functional teams.
8. Good written and spoken German (min. C1) and English (min. B1) skills.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
10. Proficiency with procurement software and tools as well as excellent skills in MS Office products.
