Senior Manager Project Delivery
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Manager Project Delivery to lead and deliver complex power generation and network projects. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team to ensure the successful delivery of the work program from project definition, financial investment decision, contract management, detailed design, implementation, construction, commissioning through to operational handover.
Leading multi-disciplinary teams including Program Directors, Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Technical Support Officers to deliver a portfolio of system wide projects.
This is a permanent full-time role.
Your new role will:
* Ensuring all project management requirements and artefacts at each project stage gate are effectively delivered within scope, budget and schedule.
* Determining the required resources, expertise, support structures, and knowledge management for project success.
* Strategically managing peers and upwards to facilitate effective governance at the board, executive, and project board levels.
* Developing and maintaining a well-understood and clearly defined prioritised pipeline of projects over a 12-24-month horizon.
* Provide direction, delegation, and removing obstacles within the team and across Horizon Power to drive results.
* Overseeing the financial performance of the business unit, development of business cases for project approvals and ensuring governance over the financial performance of assigned project portfolios.
* Contributing to corporate strategy and providing senior leadership within the business.
You will have:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience in delivering large, complex programs of work, ideally in a network and/or generation context.
* Extensive experience with electrical power systems such as transmission line, distribution line and substation equipment (primary and secondary), generation equipment (thermal, solar, wind, battery).
* Demonstrated understanding of Operations within an electrical utility.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to think long-term and align projects with corporate strategy.
* Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in leading teams to deliver complex, high-risk projects.
* Exceptional financial acumen, with experience in managing project portfolios and business unit financial performance.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and manage senior executives and board-level governance.
* Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or Diploma in Engineering, Business, or Project Management (or equivalent) is desirable.
