Senior Thermal Design Engineer - Leased Labor - Vienna (m/f/d)
Your mission
* Lead critical thermal engineering projects with substantial impact.
* Act as a technical advisor within the department on thermal issues.
* Perform cutting-edge research for microelectronics thermal management and thermal-mechanical design (liquid cooling, thermal interface materials, etc.).
* Develop conceptual designs and conduct feasibility studies.
* Handle cooperation projects with universities, academy of science institutes, and industry companies. Interface with stakeholders to align thermal strategies with project goals.
* Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in their tasks.
* Expertise in conceptual design of equipment and comparison of various thermal solutions from both cost and functionality perspectives.
Your areas of expertise
* PhD in thermophysics, heat engineering, materials science, mechanics, physics, or related specialties.
* Excellent knowledge of heat/mass transfer, fluid dynamics, CFD, mechanics with a focus on electronics cooling applications, technology of advanced materials, and design optimization methods.
* Hands-on experience in the electronics industry, including thermal and thermal-mechanical management at component, board, and system levels, as well as advanced materials.
* Experience in system thermal architecture design for electronic products is advantageous.
* Proficiency in FEA analysis tools (ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Thermal Mechanical, ANSYS Mechanical, FloTHERM, Icepak, Comsol, OpenFoam) and ability to perform complex thermal analysis to guide design.
* Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python).
* Proficiency in managing project timelines and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Leadership skills with experience in guiding project teams.
* Language skills: upper intermediate spoken and written English.
* Prior experience in international and multicultural work is preferred.
