About the Program:
AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
About the role:
This key position, reporting to the Supply Chain Director, will provide effective leadership of subcontracts program management, procurement, industry capability development and materials management for the AIR6500 Project.
Other day to day tasks will include:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for the Program Manager and Commonwealth of Australia for Supply Chain aspects of the AIR6500 Program
2. Lead a team to develop sourcing strategies, subcontractor negotiation, management and relationship plans, ensuring cost, quality and schedule objectives of the project are met
3. Provide thought leadership across the development and delivery of Australian Industry Development strategies to meet the customers sovereign capability goals, contracted commitments and enhance supply chain resilience
4. Collaborate with procurement to ensure commercial products, services and software are procured in a timely manner, whilst meeting project requirements
5. Manage the Supply Chain aspects of the integrated project schedule and establish, track, monitor and report against baseline budget
6. Provide meaningful and timely reporting on supply chain delivery
7. Identify, monitor and mitigate supply chain risk
8. Collaborate across Supply Chain function and business development to maximise relationship value with strategic/critical suppliers and achievement of mutually beneficial outcomes
9. Lead the establishment and ongoing development of supply chain and subcontract program management capability for the project
10. Demonstrate visible leadership of the LM values and Strategic Relationship Principals embedded within our customer contracts
About you:
1. Extensive experience leading the full procurement/contract lifecycle for complex subcontracts within a project delivery context
2. Substantial experience leading teams
3. Significant experience collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external
4. Postgraduate degree qualification in Supply Chain Management and/or Advanced Practitioner, Expert or Fellow professional certification from World Contracting and Co
Special requirements:
