ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Site Operations, as the Upstream Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all upstream operational activities, ensuring K-harvesting, pond and borefield operating activities are performed effectively in line with WHS and environmental best practices and approved budget.
Leading the operations team, you will continue to develop them to embed a safety focused and high performance culture.
To ensure consistent coverage of this key leadership role, this position operates on a 4 days on, 3 days off FIFO roster.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a high level of integrity with a demonstrated background in planning and operation execution.
As an inspiring leader, your proven ability to shift organisational culture and develop a team with a driven mindset has resulted in the success of the overall business objectives. In addition, you will come with:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or chemistry.
2. Quarry Manager's certificate of competency would be highly regarded.
3. Completion of minimum requirements to satisfy Section 26 statutory requirements.
4. Sound comprehension of operational readiness methodologies.
5. Strong understanding of WHS and Environmental compliance.
6. Knowledge of pumping and piping systems.
7. In-depth understanding of evaporation pond chemistry.
8. Solid grasp of chemistry and salt production processes.
9. Prior experience with budget control.
10. Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in Office 365 applications.
11. Experience using Pronto on an intermediate level.
