Based in Brisbane, the client is a global leader in e-commerce with an established and significant presence in Australia. This position calls for a highly experienced Payments Risk and Credit Manager to lead an existing team responsible for business Risk, Credit and Fraud prevention.
This is an ideal role for an individual passionate about payments technology and delivering world-leading Risk and Credit results. This isn’t just a planning and strategy role. We need a people leader who isn't afraid to get involved in execution and stakeholder management with senior leadership, regulators, banking partners, and external schemes.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the role integrates risk insights into key business decisions, leads high-performing teams across underwriting, monitoring, and disputes, and drives a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Credit Risk Management
* Fraud and Financial Loss Prevention
* Governance and Business Risk Management
* Management of relevant teams, mainly Credit Decisioning and Fraud Management
* Stakeholder management from senior leadership to 3rd parties, banks, regulators and schemes
Key Requirements for the successful candidate:
* 10 + years in a credit leadership or risk management role in a payments business
* Strong understanding of underwriting, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management with senior leadership, regulators, banking partners, and external schemes.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field.
* A customer-first approach that includes a commercially focused attitude
* Permanent Australian working Visa
* Physical presence at the North Sydney office 3 days per week
