Your Responsibilities as Lead Field Validation Engineer
* Support and update Domain & Development Processes, Verification and Validation (DVP&R) for field validation domain across systems and products.
* Ensure domain technology and development practices are state-of-the-art, compliant with international standards, and adequately benchmarked against competitors' systems.
* Maintain accurate and reflective field validation processes, ensuring rollout, adherence, and engagement business-wide.
* Prepare written validation reports, coordinate input, and present validation results within reviews.
* Determine time schedules, resources, and costs for cost-competitive solutions.
* Collaborate with Engine Development team to define realistic, executable, and value-added validation plans.
* Evaluate configuration to validate per specification and field validation plan, defining focused documentation while supporting input to field validation contracts.
* Plan, track, and monitor ongoing field validations via remote monitoring and at customer sites worldwide.
* Lead and execute multiple validation plans utilizing system hierarchy, requirements engineering, system owner input, and DFMEA.
Requirements
* Good knowledge in reciprocating engines technology and their systems.
* Knowledge of software integration and validation, engine calibration, and parameter management.
* Comfortable with technical presentations.
* Analytical mindset coupled with result-driven, proactive working style.
* Working knowledge of tools (DFMEA; DVP&R).
* Working knowledge of methods and development models (V-model, agile methods like Scrum).
* Several years of experience in engine/component test and validation techniques.
* Team player, comfortable in an international environment with good oral and written communication skills preferably in both German and English (at least one language fluent).
* Willingness to travel (40-50% within Europe), with potential for worldwide travel.
* Legal work authorization to work in Austria is required (Non-EU citizens: please attach the authorization form to your application).
