Senior Scientist MS&T (m/f/d), Kundl, Tyrol, Austria
As a valued member of the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) labs team, you will play a key role in both the design and implementation of key scientific experiments to achieve robust and scalable purification processes. Your focus will be on projects related to therapeutic proteins, antibodies, and pDNA manufacturing, while also exploiting new cutting-edge technologies such as mRNA production. As senior scientist, you will take over full ownership of a range of scientific projects and will apply your skillset in project management. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your team skills by working within a very collaborative atmosphere. At the same time, we will ensure that you are well-equipped with the scientific and project management expertise, which will be necessary to make a successful start to your pharmaceutical career at one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. About the Role
Main Accountabilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Design, plan, execute and interpret scientific experiments in line with development manuals to meet project timelines & targets. Furthermore, establish protocols and reports. Evaluate raw data and interpret results. Manage cross-functional teams to meet one common goal.
2. Participate in tech transfer activities from laboratory to industrial scale, support validation activities.
3. Identify improvement options of current processes and contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies.
4. Take over responsibility for and utilize lab equipment or specialized facilities as an expert; schedule and perform maintenance and qualification of instruments.
5. Work according to appropriate standards for quality, ethics, health, safety, environment protection, and information security as well as lead initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.
6. Perform information and literature searches while actively fostering knowledge exchange.
7. Participate in function-specific sub teams and fulfil assigned project tasks as well as responsibilities under supervision – tasks which will include the approval of experiments performed by others.
8. Train, coach and supervise scientists, lab technicians, temporary employees and employees under training/education.
What support you will bring to the role:
1. Master of Science with 8 years of relevant experience / PhD of Science with 5 years relevant experience.
2. Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
3. Good theoretical and scientific knowledge in the relevant area of expertise.
4. Proficient with laboratory and/or technical equipment.
5. Good knowledge of software and computer tools.
6. Good documentation and presentation skills.
7. Basic scientific/technical writing skills.
8. Professional proficiency in spoken and written German.
9. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

For this position the minimum salary is €64,023.54 per year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
