Job Description
The Site HR Manager is the primary point of contact for the managers and employees at our Flexible Paper and Films dual-plant site in Zeltweg, Austria.
This role will lead a team to drive a positive and productive culture, build an environment of trust and accountability, and deliver HR excellence and process improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a strong functional partner and active member of the Site Leadership team to drive cohesive decision-making, foster collaboration, and execute key HR initiatives that align with business goals and Mondi's HR strategy.
* Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee advocacy/engagement, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention, and workplace investigations as needed.
* Offer expertise and support to employees and managers on fundamental HR topics and issues, escalating concerns beyond their scope to HR Business Partners (BU/Country) as necessary.
* Lead the local HR team consisting of payroll and operations specialists, driving HR team engagement, growth, and retention.
* Partner closely with relevant HR Business Partners and HR CoE professionals to drive a cohesive and aligned HR agenda and execute business-specific HR strategies.
* Advise and counsel managers and employees on the consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
* Collaborate with HR Business Partners and HR CoE's to align on and execute relevant HR projects or initiatives as needed across multiple client groups at the site.
* Provide guidance and leadership for all union/works council relations, ensuring that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved.
* Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
Your Ideal Profile
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in a Human Resources related area.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a client support HR role, preferably in an industry environment.
* At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources client support role.
* Sound knowledge of union/employee relations and works council management, as well as local labor laws and government requirements (including GDPR).
* Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to influence others by presenting sound and logical arguments tailored to the audience.
* Hands-on self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and work independently while being able to effectively navigate and partner in a matrix environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion.
* Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational, and change agent skills.
* Passionate, employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeed.
* Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.
* Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness.
