Job Description:
Our client is the Austrian subsidiary of an Asian technology group, involved in the expansion of fiber optics in Austria and collaborating with major mobile communications providers.
Responsibilities:
* Customer-facing support engineer in a vendor-network operator environment (on-site)
* Maintenance and support activities for voice and/or messaging core network elements in a cloud environment, including network change operations, upgrades, trouble ticket processing, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Serving as an interface between the network operator's technical team and vendor level 3 support
* Providing technical support for mobile and fixed voice and messaging services
* On-call duty (if required)
Requirements:
* University degree in computer science, electrical engineering/telecommunication, software engineering, or equivalent
* Solid IT background, including computer and transmission hardware, IP networking, and solid Linux knowledge; experience with cloud technologies (Openstack, Container) is a plus
* Network support experience
* Working knowledge of telecommunication protocols: ISUP, MAP, SIP, Diameter
* Mobile and fixed voice core and/or messaging expertise
* IMS architecture knowledge is beneficial
* Ability to work as a reliable team member in an international multicultural team
* Good communication and analytical skills
Compensation and Benefits:
Our client offers a monthly gross salary ranging from € 3,500,- to € 5,000,- (14 x p.a. paid), depending on specific qualifications and professional experience.
