We are seeking for experienced individuals to strengthen our team in Völkermarkt: SHIPPING MANAGER (m/f/d) The Shipping Manager supervises the shipping department, ensuring correct invoicing and shipment management, as well as an orderly and correct flow. Furthermore, the job requires the supervision and coordination of the department, motivating the team, and collaborating professionally with the Managing Directors and other departments. The job role does not only require understanding of oprative logistic processes, but also also has a strong strategic focus. Tasks & Responsibilities: Responsibility of the overall shipping process, including strategic activities: Negotiation with forwarders Individualize the workload planned and assign responsibility to a single Forwarding/Invoicing Agent based on its specific features abilities/workload Order and process delivery orders Facilitate and foster the coordination between logistics subsidiaries Active involvement and support team for daily operative tasks Supervise by checking the work of collaborators, respecting deadlines and all contractual terms Prepare preliminary, updated, and final shipping / invoicing documents (delivery bills, proforma and final invoices, transport documents) and loading lists Track and monitor shipments Interface to internal interfaces and customers, banks, and authorities Leading of shipping team and consolidate corporate culture and values Cost and resource responsibility Set annual targets and monitor achievement of targets Guarantee the qualitative and quantitative growth of personnel by management, assessment and training of personnel based on merit/appraisals Driving continuous improvement Technical Skills Completed education, e.g., as a logistics specialist or similar Good knowledge of logistics, customs, and Incoterms Leadership experience in a logistics environment is a big plus Good knowledge of English is mandatory (B2) and German (C1) Confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel) / ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA is a big plus) Soft Skills High quality standards and high customer orientation Willingness to travel (especially to our Company Headquarter in Buttrio, Italy) Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative, and decision-making This position requires a permanent working permission for the Austrian labour market.
