The Institute of Public Health, Medical Decision Making and Health Technology Assessment (Chair: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Uwe Siebert) of the Department of Public Health, Health Services Research and Health Technology Assessment is currently seeking to fill the following part-time or full-time (20-40 hours per week) position as soon as possible (place of work: Hall i.T.):
Senior Scientist / Assistant Professor in the field of Health Technology Assessment
The position is assigned to EU projects in the field of Health Technology Assessment, including EUCAPA (https://www.eucapa.eu), EUCanScreen and other research projects in the subject area and is initially limited to two years. An extension is possible and will be sought.
Your tasks:
Coordination of the Program on Health Technology Assessment at the Institute
Coordination and development of research proposals and projects in the field of Health Technology Assessment
Representation of our university in the field of Health Technology Assessment regionally, nationally, and internationally
Participation in national and international research projects in the areas of Health Technology Assessment at the Institute
Independent development of research ideas, studies, and methodological approaches in the field of Health Technology Assessment
Preparation of Health Technology Assessment reports
Advising the team on the content of Health Technology Assessment
Preparation of scientific publications
Collaboration in the preparation of third-party funding applications
Participation in the organization and implementation of teaching in the field of Health Technology Assessment and associated disciplines, in the areas of Public Health, the UMIT TIROL Academy Program and in further training measures
Active (further) development of the capacity training for patient representatives EUCAPA
Development of modern university didactic methods, pedagogical concepts, and dissemination strategies
Your profile:
Completed university degree (doctorate or comparable degree) / habilitation
Several years of professional experience and very good knowledge in the field of health technology assessment and systematic reviews on the clinical effectiveness of health technologies (benefit assessment), at least basic knowledge of other domains of health technology assessment (cost-effectiveness, social, patient-related and ethical aspects)
Good knowledge of the work of HTA organizations at national, transnational, and international level
Good written and oral English language skills
High motivation, analytical and conceptual thinking, initiative, interest in interdisciplinary work, teamwork and communication skills

The salary is based on UMIT TIROL's remuneration scheme and amounts to at least € 3,340.00 (full-time basis for postdocs). Overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
