About the roleFirst steps academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Nominated Supervisor/Centre Manager to lead our brand-new early learning center in Greystanes, NSW. As the Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and delivering exceptional care and education to the children in our community.What you'll be doingProviding effective leadership and management of the center, including staff supervision, rostering, and professional developmentEnsuring the center operates in compliance with the National Quality Framework, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and all other relevant legislationOverseeing the development, implementation, and review of center policies, procedures, and quality improvement plansBuilding strong relationships with families, children, and the local community to foster a positive and inclusive environmentManaging the center's budget and administration, including enrolments, fees, and reportingPromoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in early childhood educationWhat we're looking forA minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior role within the early childhood education and care sectorThorough knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and other relevant legislationExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of educatorsStrong organizational and administrative skills, with experience in budget management and reportingA passion for providing high-quality early childhood education and care, and a commitment to supporting the learning and development of young childrenA relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field, and a current Working with Children CheckA Bachelor of Education/Teaching in Early ChildhoodHighly organized with the ability to multi-taskAbility to 'think on your feet' to adapt and deliver strategies within the Centre to support staff and familiesPassion for early childhood educationSkills to lead and mentor other educators, motivating them to excel as you deliver care and educational programsStrong customer relationshipsCurrent First Aid, Anaphylaxis and CPR CertificatesChild Protection CertificateHold a current Working with Children CheckExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat we offerAt First steps academy, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and wellbeing of our employees.
