Job Responsibilities
* Lead and facilitate Scrum events (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and use tools like User Stories, Burndown Charts, and Task Boards to guide team progress.
* Support Team with Obstacles
o Help the team overcome challenges and provide agile coaching to ensure smooth workflow and understanding of Scrum principles.
* Implement Process Improvements
o Facilitate retrospectives and drive process improvements based on feedback, continuously optimizing team workflows.
* Assist in Backlog Prioritization
o Work with the Product Owner to prioritize and clarify Product Backlog Items, ensuring proper planning and alignment with business goals.
* Coach Team and Stakeholders
o Provide coaching to Scrum team members and the Product Owner, supporting Scrum implementation across the organization.
* Enhance Agile Maturity
o Drive the team’s agile maturity, focusing on scaling agile practices for large, complex projects.
* Ensure Project Execution
o Oversee project management tasks, ensuring smooth delivery of the sprint and addressing any issues that arise.
* Facilitate Stakeholder Communication
o Ensure effective communication between the Scrum team and stakeholders, managing expectations and aligning goals.
* Maintain Scrum Artifacts
o Ensure Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment are well-maintained and visible to the team and stakeholders.
* Monitor Sprint Progress
o Track sprint progress using Burndown Charts and task boards, providing updates and managing risks to meet sprint goals.
* Provide Agile Training
o Conduct agile training sessions for the team and organization to enhance understanding and adoption of agile practices.
* Foster a self-organizing, collaborative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and resolving conflicts.
* Drive Agile Best Practices
o Advocate and implement agile best practices to continuously improve the Scrum process and team performance.
Requirements
* 3+ Years in Agile Delivery
o Proven experience delivering projects within any Agile environment (SCRUM, SAFe, NEXUS, LeSS, APMG Agile Framework).
* 2+ Years as Scrum Master
o Hands-on experience implementing Agile and Lean principles, specifically as a Scrum Master.
* 4+ Years in Project Management
o Experience in project management roles, particularly in large-scale projects or programs, ideally within distributed, multicultural teams.
* Relevant Higher Education Degree
o A higher education degree, preferably in business, technology, science, engineering, or mathematics.
* Knowledge of Scrum Master Techniques
o Practical knowledge of Scrum Master and Agile PM techniques. Certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile PM, PO) are a plus.
* In-Depth Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
o Deep understanding of Agile frameworks like SCRUM at the team level and SAFe at the project level.
* Experience with Senior Stakeholders
o Experience in a facilitator role, especially when interacting with senior stakeholders in a global, multicultural organization.
* Proficiency in Agile Tools
o Solid experience using agile management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and other relevant platforms.
* Process Analysis and Improvement
o Strong ability to analyze and improve processes based on team feedback and performance metrics.
* Fluency in German (Written and Spoken)
o Fluent in German, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively within the team and with stakeholders.
* Fluency in English (Written and Spoken)
o Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for cross-functional communication in an international context.
* Strong Facilitation and Coaching Skills
o Ability to coach and facilitate the team in Agile practices, helping team members evolve their Scrum skills and ensuring continuous improvement.
* Experience in Scaled Agile Projects
o Experience working with scaled Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) for large projects, helping teams align and deliver at scale.
