Title: Sales Account Representative (Temp to Hire)
Report to: General Manager
Hours: 9am-5pm
This position is Temp-to-Hire. Direct hire is considered after 3 months of temporary period.
Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Account Sales will be responsible for selling products or services while providing excellent customer service as well as performing an important role in the overall customer experience by helping with sales and customer inquiries by email, phone and in-person meeting with customers including sales and technical discussions.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop relationships with current customers and drive sales outside of the customer’s original order, including additional products.
2. Communicate with assigned customers. Explain technical and quality information for the products as well as shipping and delivery schedule.
3. Explain to existing and potential customers the new products for their needs.
4. Recommend the related products to increase customers options.
5. Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
6. Reach out to potential customers through cold calling (this happens every 2-3 months).
Performance Requirements:
1. Daily correspondence with customers by e-mail/phone based on the information from suppliers.
2. Domestic travel to customers (1-2 per month).
3. Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
4. Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
5. Staying informed about competing products and services.
6. Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
7. Communicate with Assistant Manager to meet customers’ needs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Bachelors Degree.
2. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Cross-reference data accurately.
6. Excellent organizational skills.
7. Works well independently and with a team.
8. Ability to lift 5-10 pounds.
9. At least one year of B2B sales experience as a tier supplier.
10. Knowledge of importing and exporting terminology is a plus.
