You will join the space research and development team with motivated people from different skill areas to develop equipment for satellite testing. We focus on the Electrical Ground Support Equipment. This includes power supplies that can simulate and test the satellite solar array, batteries or its power control and distribution units. Your main task will be the architectural design of power supplies and the development of firmware for different FPGAs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define digital algorithms and architectures for power supplies.
* FPGA design, verification, simulation, synthesis and test.
* Be the technical lead for power electronics, control and test engineer.
* Close collaboration with the system and software engineers.
Mandatory Competences:
* Clear understanding of architectures for power electronics.
* High familiarity with FPGA development.
* Circuit design and simulation.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Beneficial Know-How:
* Previous experience in the power electronics domain is an advantage.
* Experienced in embedded Linux.
Professional Experience:
* Completed studies (University of Applied Sciences/Technical University) in the field of computer technology, electronics, SW development or equivalent.
* At least 7 years of experience as firmware engineer.
* 5 years working in the power electronics industry.
* Previous experience in the aerospace or automotive industry is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
* Proactive, taking the initiative to solve problems.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Location:
This position is full time and based at our premises in Vienna. The department is highly international, with diverse age groups. We value the on-site presence but we work 50% remotely when possible.
