Your future responsibilities
* Develop microcontroller-based control units for power electronic systems from initial concept to prototype development.
* Manage the hardware development process for SoC control platforms.
* Develop embedded software for the control platforms (in C), including low-level I/O routines, control modules, and communication and user interface modules.
* Test the developed systems with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and power hardware-in-the-loop (P-HIL) setups.
* Interact and communicate with power electronics architecture and control engineers.
Your profile
* Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems or related disciplines, preferably with work experience in embedded systems.
* Hands-on experience in hardware PCB design, preferably using Altium Designer.
* At least one year of experience in software design (in C) for microcontrollers, preferably also in relation to model-based software design (from MatLab/Simulink).
* Basic knowledge of FPGA programming (VHDL and/or VERILOG).
* Good background in electrical engineering, including power electronics and electrical drives.
* Hands-on experience in commissioning and testing (power) electronic circuits.
* Good command of English.
* Willingness to take responsibility for project work packages and small to medium research projects.
* Team player with good communication skills.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E. We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications. For this position, your minimum monthly salary starts with EUR 3.963,00 paid 14 times a year.
