Senior Human Resources Business Partner (AO6)
About the Role
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will provide expert HR services and advice on complex people matters for a designated client group, for an initial six-month contract.
You’ll drive the implementation of HR strategies and processes, developing workforce solutions in areas like planning, change management, recruitment, performance development, engagement, and employee relations.
Reporting to the Manager, this role has no direct reports but works closely with a dynamic HR team, including the Principal HR Business Partner, two Senior HR Business Partners, and the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice to senior leaders and managers on complex employment relations and workplace change;
* Use business insights and workforce data to develop and implement strategies that enhance engagement and culture;
* Assist client groups with strategic HR projects, workforce planning, policy implementation, performance improvement, and employee engagement;
* Manage sensitive employee relations cases, interpreting and applying public sector legislation, policies, and agreements;
* Partner with senior leaders to design, implement, and review workforce change initiatives;
* Advise leaders on managing conduct, performance, complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters, while resolving employee concerns and conflicts;
* Educate and coach stakeholders to effectively implement HR strategies and manage their workforce;
* Contribute to organisation-wide HR solutions, using HR metrics to drive improvements and support decision-making.
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally bring qualifications in human resource management, employee relations, or a related field, complemented by practical experience in partnering with senior leaders to implement strategic and tactical initiatives that drive business outcomes.
Your ability to use data and insights to develop and execute people strategies will be key, as will your capacity to navigate complex change environments.
Expertise in interpreting industrial instruments and providing sound, practical advice to leaders will set you apart, as will a commitment to upholding governance and delivering impactful HR solutions.
