I am currently working on a number of Software Delivery Managers across Health, Insurance, and FinTech.
The role of the Delivery Manager will be to manage the implementation process of a sophisticated, highly configurable Digital Platform to end customers.
General responsibilities include:
* Responsible for customer platform implementations, smaller $200k projects > $5m.
* Own the financial outcomes of the projects.
* Growth of the time to keep up with the market and their capabilities, succession plan, hire, and adapt.
* Be familiar with Delivery Methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques, choose the appropriate solution for the customer based on size and budget.
* Risk and issue management, change management, and reporting.
* Management of customer relationships, ensure you take a proactive approach with information.
* Responsible for maintaining a focus on commercial outcomes and the application of commercial considerations to all decisions.
* Timely escalation of risks and issues to the Head of Delivery as required.
The role requires the following skills and experience:
* Prior experience in client facing/delivery position is required.
* Proven experience working in SaaS/Software delivery/SDLC.
* Ability to deliver a complex product (bespoke and/or highly configurable).
* Able to manage, coach and develop a cross-functional team.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Experience working with a range of size customers, small to enterprise and able to cater for differences in requirements, delivery, and budget.
* Strong stakeholder management, internal, external and vendors/delivery partners.
* Strong business acumen, able to be commercial with outcomes and solutions.
* Experience working in a software development environment across the full SDLC.
