Job Opportunity: Electrical LV Engineer

Your Responsibilities:
1. Design concepts for power distribution and rectifier systems at plant level
2. Research and evaluate potential partners and suppliers
3. Define and create electrical studies (short circuit, harmonic, arc flash protection and coordination, grounding)
4. Establish and manage electrical design standards
5. Advise sales and execution projects about electric system cost and design
6. Prepare electrical basic design documents
7. Create and evaluate inquiries for the procurement process
8. Participate in HAZOP and LOPA studies
9. Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment and automation disciplines both in the proposal and engineering phase
10. Be the interface to the electrical hardware engineers
11. Lead hardware FATs and SATs
12. Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team
Your Qualifications:
In your personal skill set, you have:
1. Degree level qualification in a power electric or automation engineering discipline
2. A minimum of five years of experience in designing and implementing industrial low voltage power systems; knowledge about medium voltage is a plus
3. Ability to consult and negotiate with customers and suppliers to prepare robust specifications
4. Experience performing acceptance tests and supervising installation and commissioning during start-up
5. Knowledge about European electrical standards; North American standards will be a plus
6. Experience in the preparation and evaluation of short-circuit and harmonic studies is an advantage
7. Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills
8. Solution/team/customer-oriented with the confidence to act pro-actively
9. Fluency in English; another European language is an advantage
10. Willingness to travel for at least 5 days per month

In Austria, we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of €X,84 per month for this position. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, we offer you a market-based salary.
