Director - Information and Communication Technology
The Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of ICT services across Catholic Education South Australia (CESA). This executive role ensures that ICT systems, infrastructure, and digital innovation align with CESA’s strategic priorities, enhancing teaching, learning, and operational efficiencies across the Catholic education network.
Your Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy aligned with CESA’s mission, vision, and educational priorities.
* Lead ICT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity frameworks to ensure robust, secure, and compliant systems.
* Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of ICT services, infrastructure, and digital platforms supporting 101 schools, the central office, a 9,000 strong workforce and more than 54,000 students.
* Drive innovation in digital learning, data analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance educational outcomes.
* Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with government, industry, and technology providers to leverage best practices and emerging trends.
* Provide leadership in ICT budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation to optimise cost efficiency and service delivery.
* Lead and mentor ICT teams to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence.
* Engage with key stakeholders, including school leaders, educators, and community members, to ensure ICT solutions meet educational needs.
* Engage with and contribute to state and national level initiatives and strategies in which Catholic Education SA plays a part.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards governing ICT in education.
About You
As a strategic and executive level leader experienced in leading complex enterprises in an ICT context, and with a proven track record of building and empowering successful teams, you possess a passion for customer service and excel at collaborating with stakeholders.
You’ll need:
* A tertiary qualification in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
* Extensive leadership experience in ICT at a senior or executive level, preferably within an educational or complex multi-site organisation.
* Demonstrated expertise in strategic ICT planning, digital transformation, and project management.
* Proven ability to manage large-scale ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity frameworks.
* Strong financial and resource management skills, including ICT budgeting and contract negotiations.
* High-level experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with government, vendors, and educational leaders.
* Active membership of a Catholic Eucharistic community.
* Experience within the education sector, particularly R-12 or Catholic education.
* Familiarity with data analytics, AI, and digital learning platforms in an educational setting.
* An understanding of Catholic education values and commitment to its mission.
