Global Head of Media Relations (all genders)
* Develop a comprehensive media relations strategy with focus and impact, aimed at positioning OMV as an emerging integrated company for sustainable chemicals, fuels, and energy, in close alignment with strategic messaging and executive communications teams.
* Building and actively driving media relations activities (both nationally & internationally), encompassing tier-one business media and trade publications across energy, chemicals, circular economy, sustainability, and relevant marketing and lifestyle media outlets.
* Identify and actively establish corporate and executive visibility in relevant media (traditional and new) with a clear strategy derived from the OMV Group content architecture.
* Maintain and foster robust and professional relationships with national media (print, TV and online), by leveraging news announcements and proactive media pitches based on storytelling.
* Maintain a constant newsflow based on strategic planning of business announcements and state-of-the art execution thereof.
* Manage OMV's press office (online/offline) and media monitoring/analysis with a strong international focus.
* Writing, editing and overseeing the production of selected editorial materials, incl. press releases, statements, etc.
Your profile
* Master’s degree in business administration, journalism, marketing or similar.
* At least 15 years of relevant professional experience, with proven international experience in strategic communications and media relations, existing relationships with tier-1 international media in EU, North America, and Asia.
* Deep knowledge in integrated communication strategies as well as awareness of cutting-edge digital media/technologies and trends.
* Strong affinity and deep understanding of thought leadership approaches in an international context.
* Ability to provide strategic counsel to C-suite executives.
* Excellent communicator and public speaker.
* Ability to handle crises, issues and incidents as a company spokesperson.
* Team player with a collaborative mind-set and experience working in newsroom set-ups.
* Experience in working in complex matrix organizations.
* Bilingual editorial proficiency in English and German. Excellent writing skills.
