Offer Description
* Start Date: 01.05.2025
* Duration: 4 years, with a possibility for a permanent position depending on requirement and performance evaluation
Job Profile:
* Independent research activities in the field of theoretical and numerical physics
* Independent organisation of courses and holding of examinations
* Supervision of students, including supervision of bachelor theses
* Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks
Your Profile:
* Completed relevant doctoral or PhD programme in physics with a theoretical focus
* Experience in the development and application of scientific simulation codes
* Experience in relevant university teaching
* Research experience in the field of theoretical and numerical plasma physics, particularly with respect to full-F gyrofluid models and codes for turbulence, structure formation, and transport in magnetised plasmas
* Relevant publications in international peer-reviewed journals and/or contributions to international conferences/workshops
* Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
* Leadership skills and good cooperation with project staff and students
