This approach not only helps upskill the regional workforce but also drives the success of local businesses, reinforcing our vision of supporting a Skilled and Thriving Gippsland.About the roleReporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager Facilities is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Facilities team who provide a range of facilities and space management services across TAFE Gippsland’s multiple sites. These services include planned and reactive asset maintenance, building compliance and security, fleet and room bookings, space optimisation, oversight of contractors, minor capital works delivery, facilities/asset data maintenance and reporting requirements.The Manager Facilities is responsible for ensuring our Campuses are safe, well maintained, presentable and fit for purpose. The role is responsible for establishing and managing an annual and rolling program of works for a wide range of facilities and building operations, space management operations, managing reactive maintenance and requests for work and delivering minor capital works aligned to the strategic goals and for prioritising the work of the Facilities team based on resources and budget.This is a genuine opportunity to influence and optimise the experience that staff, students, industry and the wider community have when they operate in or interact with the TAFE Gippsland campuses.About youAs the Manager Facilities, you are an exceptional leader with a demonstrated track record in developing high performing teams. You have a keen strategic focus along with strong business acumen. You have proven experience in solving problems and improving processes to get things done in an efficient and effective way. You will be experienced in managing assets and people and the related cultural, financial, budgeting, planning and reporting processes. You will have a deep understanding of maintenance and minor capital works project management, contract management, and facilities operations. You collaborate easily and build and manage effective stakeholder relationships at all levels.
