Within the Building & Construction Customer Stream, we specialize in executing a wide range of projects in the general Commercial, Industrial, and Defence sectors, with project values spanning from $1 million to $50 million.

About the Role
Leveraging our recent success in securing projects within both metro and regional Australia and bolstered by a robust pipeline of forthcoming work, we are seeking dedicated Senior Site Managers to enhance our Building and Construction team.
This dynamic role requires proactive and results-driven Senior Site Managers, focused on precise site coordination, unwavering commitment to safety, and efficient project execution.
You will take charge of managing daily site activities, leveraging your proven experience in commercial construction including larger-scale projects, ideally, in the Defence or Defence industry.
As a Senior Site Manager within our Building and Construction group, you will be responsible for all onsite construction operations and lead the delivery team to ensure successful, on-time project completion for our clients, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:
* Manage the construction process from start to finish, including the implementation of project timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
* Oversee and coordinate all daily site activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and specifications.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring smooth integration into the project workflow.
* Implement strict site safety protocols, including the drafting and review of JSAs and risk assessments.
* Interpret construction drawings and specifications to clearly communicate project plans to the site team.
* Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
* Proactively identify and resolve any site-related issues, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
* Promote a strong safety culture by managing workplace health and safety effectively.
* Prepare and update weekly project performance schedules.
* Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to ensure clear project communication and safety awareness.
* Provide leadership and support to the onsite team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Coordinate and manage all trades, including the induction and oversight of subcontractors and site employees.
* Participate in regular reviews with Construction and Building Managers to ensure alignment with project goals.
* Document and record daily site activities to maintain accurate project records.
* Manage defect rectification processes and ensure all issues are promptly addressed.
What Will Set You Apart
* Experience working on Defence CFI, Defence or larger industrial/commercial projects.
* A strong track record of successfully delivering projects above >20M within tight timeframes.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and building regulations.
* Willingness to travel to our regional construction sites as required. LAHA and Project allowances, additional to base salary.
* Construction White Card, current Driver’s license.
* A national police clearance (NPC) is a mandatory requirement of this role.
* Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance (DCAC).
* Proficiency in various construction management software (MS Project, Pronto, Procore).
* Senior First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
