What You’ll Do
Technical
1. Responsible for performing professional process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of the company’s complex semiconductor capital equipment and systems.
2. Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing.
3. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new processes.
4. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications.
5. Supports customer technology managers in the planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting of customer demos to defend existing process applications.
6. Works with customer and senior engineers cross functionally to understand roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges.
Leadership
7. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
8. Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed
Customer Relation
9. Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company’s product lines and services to keep existing/ potential customers informed when new/ additional needs are identified.
Who We’re Looking For
10. Master in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related type of education with 10+ years of relevant work experience
11. Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory.
12. Experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
13. Interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn.
14. In-dept understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
15. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines.
16. Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.
17. Collaboration/ Matrix environment mindset.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
