The Client:
Our client is a well-established and Australian family-owned, specialist IT distributor providing their valuable partners with knowledge and growth opportunities. They are well known for supporting local businesses, both small and large, and providing tailored business solutions to assist their customers. Operating with a turnover of $140m+, they have showrooms and distribution centres in major cities across Australia.
The Role:
Manage a portfolio of assigned customers within the Unified Communications (UC) division, driving growth through existing accounts while actively seeking new sales opportunities. You’ll bring strong relationship management skills, a solid understanding of UC technology, and the ability to deliver client-focused solutions that meet technical and commercial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meet and exceed sales budgets and growth targets by maximising all UC brands
* Maintain minimum periodic customer sales activities and interactions within CRM
* Develop new sales opportunities through sales prospecting
* Undertake customer visits to develop new business
* Create and maintain strategic account plan (SAP) for each assigned managed customer
* Identify growth opportunities in the southern territory
* Develop strong relationships with customers and their stakeholders
* Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your customer needs
* Develop understanding of the channel market
* Assess local market conditions, identify current and prospective sales opportunities
You Will Have:
* Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, Key Account Manager or other relevant sales experience
* An understanding and knowledge of UC technology and general channel industry are desirable
* Provide sound technical expertise and knowledge to suit the right applications/install
* Excellent listening, negotiation and influencing skills
* Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
* Strong experience working with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel is a must)
* Proven ability to manage multiple sales and admin projects at a time, while paying strict attention to detail and deadlines
* Distribution experience is highly desirable
* Must have own transport and valid driver licence
