About the role
The Marketing Coordinator for Young Carers SA (YCSA) and Carer and Community SA (CCSA) will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of marketing strategies and the creation of marketing assets. This dynamic role involves overseeing a variety of tasks from graphic design and content creation to social media management, event marketing, and more. The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with both businesses and its team to drive both brands forward, ensuring consistency and engagement across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute our marketing strategy
o Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of marketing strategies for both YCSA and CCSA.
o Monitor and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, providing actionable insights to improve future marketing efforts.
o Adapt and optimize campaigns based on performance data and audience feedback.
* Develop our marketing assets:
o Create and manage the design and production of various marketing materials for both brands (including but not limited to flyers, banners, social media visuals, brochures, and promotional items).
o Ensure all marketing assets are consistent with the visual identity and messaging of both YCSA and CCSA.
o Work with the team to develop content and collateral that resonates with key audiences, including young carers, the broader community, donors, and partners.
* Social Media Management: Create engaging, on-brand content for YCSA’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Manage posting schedules and track engagement metrics.
* Graphic Design: Design promotional materials and digital assets for both YCSA and CCSA, including flyers, brochures, banners, social media visuals, and other marketing collateral.
* Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the websites for YCSA and CCSA, ensuring fresh content and user-friendly design.
* Email Direct Marketing: Design and distribute monthly or event-driven EDM campaigns, ensuring engaging copy and visually appealing design.
* Photography: Take high-quality photos at events, workshops, and activities for use in promotional materials, social media, and website updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Proven experience in marketing and graphic design, with a portfolio of work.
* Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with social media platforms and content management systems.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
* High attention to detail with a strong sense of creativity and branding.
* Knowledge of CRM tools and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
* Experience with website content management systems.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently.
Desired Attributes:
* Experience in non-profit marketing and communications is a plus.
* Passion for social causes and helping vulnerable groups.
