The international and domestic departments of the Bank source financings beside Austria primarily in Western Europe and US on a bilateral and syndicated basis including financing Loan portfolios. Commercial Real Estate, beside Corporate financing, has been identified as a significant source of asset growth and profitability for the Bank during the next few years.Main TasksAnalyze new and monitor existing Real Estate lending and investment proposals including credit quality, collateral and monitoring framework; prepare independent credit opinions on investment proposals for presentation to Credit CommitteeValidate internal ratings for counterparties and facilities on an ongoing basisReview and approve waivers to post signature events, such as contract breaches and restructurings, and on any credit-related changes to contracts in close consultation with other departmentsProvide recommendations on credits for transfer to watchlist or workout groupContribute to the ongoing development of the Bank's risk-related policies and procedures and the Risk division as a wholeAttend in the Credit Committee for relevant and specific transactionsAssist in the development and implementation of various risk related projects by providing respective expertiseYour ProfileExperience as a Real Estate Risk officer in a major financial institution including oversight of syndications and mezzanine financingFamiliarity with markets in Western Europe, UK and US preferredDetailed knowledge of credit-related legal documentation and the establishment of appropriate covenantsExperience with credit risk assessment methodologies, rating agency criteria and knowledge of risk-pricing techniquesStrong analytical skills and capacity to quickly provide sound judgement on a variety of credit issuesSound business judgement with an ability to understand the broader business issues whilst being cognisant of the individual risks involvedStrong verbal and written communication skillsTeam player: an ability to work within a small group and under pressureStrong interpersonal skills - notably fluency negotiating and collaborating as well as a flexible approachUniversity degree or equivalent preferredProficiency in English and German essentialOur OfferBusiness Talks with the Senior Leadership Team, along with trainings, workshops, and learning stays across various departments, provide inspiring insights and learning opportunitiesMentoring & networking are supported through personal guidance from a buddy within the Senior Leadership Team and access to exclusive networking eventsFlexOffice is our motto!
