About the role
Everstin Group is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee the efficient and safe operation of our fleet of vehicles. As the Transport Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and meet the evolving needs of our business. This full-time position is based in our Yatala, Queensland location.
What you'll be doing
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise fleet utilisation and performance
* Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the transport fleet, including scheduling, routing, and dispatch
* Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards
* Liaise with various stakeholders, including drivers, maintenance providers, and clients, to address transport-related issues
* Analyse fleet data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency
* Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle fleet to maximise asset life and minimise downtime
* Contribute to the development and implementation of transport-related policies and procedures
* Manage and develop a team of transport professionals to ensure high levels of performance and customer service
* Attract, oversee and manage new business opportunities
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar transport management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
* Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety requirements, and best practices
* Proficient in fleet management software and data analysis tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities
