Anglicare Sydney is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Governance Manager to join our team on a full-time, maximum term basis for 12 months.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Clinical Governance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent implementation of our quality and clinical risk program. Your expertise will help improve clinical care and outcomes for residents and clients across Residential Care, Seniors Communities, Community Services, and Retirement Living. Specific Accountabilities:
1. Support the Implementation of an Integrated Clinical Governance Framework:
o Contribute to the achievement of Clinical Governance Unit (CGU)'s strategic goals and plans.
o Analyze and identify areas of clinical risk and assist the organization in implementing risk management programs to maximize positive consumer outcomes.
o Work with Department Heads to assist with clinical risk management for clinical care delivery.
2. Facilitate and Provide Technical Expertise:
o Facilitate and provide technical expertise for the multi-disciplinary management of clinical incidents, leading and/or supporting clinical incident analysis teams (RCA) and supporting individuals in their investigation.
o Manage working parties to address high-risk clinical matters identified from incident analysis and trends.
o Facilitate regular reporting and sharing of 'lessons learned' to clinicians and care staff.
3. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
o Work with quality and compliance managers to ensure accurate reporting and escalation of consumer incidents.
o Ensure ongoing continuous improvement by participating and collaborating in the design of quality improvement initiatives.
o Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders in the development of education programs, including participation in formal and informal clinical risk management education programs for managers, staff, residents/clients, and families.
Skills, Education and Experience Required:
* Postgraduate qualifications in risk management (desirable).
* Experience in clinical risk and safety within the Aged Care and/or Health sector.
* Minimum of 5 years' + experience as a clinician within the Aged Care and/or Health sector.
* Experience in a management and/or leadership position.
* Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (TAE).
* Evidence running effective and responsive committee structures which meets the Anglicare's Clinical Governance expectations for operational compliance, service development and clinical leadership.
* Experience in aged care or hospital accreditation.
* Experience in Policy writing.
