Job Description
ABOUT US:
Join our division, “Sportradar ad:s”, where we provide data-driven marketing and sponsorship services to the iGaming industry. Our purpose-built tools and services cater to the individual marketing needs of sportsbooks and media publishers worldwide. We’re passionate about our work and deeply care about our people. If you’re ready for the challenge, join us in growing, innovating, and developing!
THE CHALLENGE:
As a (Senior) Software Engineer - Paid Search (m/f/d) in the Paid Search team, you will be a core member of the cross-functional product team on the delivery of their roadmap and helping the more junior members of the team develop via mentoring. You will help guide the technical direction of the team, leaning on your experience to shape innovative solutions.
From a technical perspective, our product consists of multiple microservices hosted entirely in a cloud environment with AWS. We employ Terraform used as infrastructure-as-code (IaC), ensuring consistent and efficient environment management. Our backend is predominantly developed with NodeJS & Typescript. We deploy to AWS Lambdas for our APIs, which connect to Amazon DynamoDB for handling mutable data. Additionally, we manage substantial data volumes stored in Amazon S3, which are subsequently crawled and analysed using AWS Glue and Athena. To facilitate communication between our services, we utilise a combination of Amazon SNS and SQS.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute and develop a self-organised, agile software development team.
* Build and maintain advertising technologies, from requirements gathering to developing functional UI.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality, observability, and security in development.
* Engage in a supportive, collaborative team environment and contribute to maintaining a positive culture.
* Apply best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
* Coach and develop team members by providing feedback and technical guidance.
ABOUT YOU:
* 3+ years with web development technologies like TypeScript, especially using Node.js and a Frontend Framework (e.g., Vue.js).
* Experience working in an agile/lean development environment.
* Passion for writing clean, maintainable code and testing.
* Strong communication skills, ownership, and a user-focused mindset.
* Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (experience with AWS serverless technologies or containers is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential).
* Knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and experience working with them.
* Interest in learning new technologies and a proactive approach to skill development.
* Willingness to practice Test-Driven Development (TDD).
OUR OFFER:
* A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world.
* Ability to shape your own workday and career via a clearly defined professional and personal development plan.
* Opportunity to work with senior leadership, develop yourself and build your career within an inspiring and fast-growing company.
* A vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups.
* A company culture that promotes social aspects, sports, physical exercise and fun.
* Competitive salary and benefits.
* Sportradar takes over the full costs of € 365.- for the Öffi-Ticket (Jahreskarte) for you.
* Hybrid work model.
While we value the opportunities to work from home, we believe that being together, and sharing ideas, opportunities, trials and tribulations with teammates make us stronger and more innovative.
OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
* Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner.
* Technical: Theoretical Interview: 60 minutes to discuss your technical skills.
* Technical: Coding Interview: 60 minutes of live coding.
* System Design Interview: 60 minutes to solve a high-level problem.
