Remuneration: Higher Education Worker Level 6 - $110,472 to $118,410 p.a. (comprising base salary of $93,350 to $100,058 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
The Role
As the Executive Assistant, you will be at the heart of supporting the Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer (SVPCOO) and the broader Operations Division at Western Sydney University, playing a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the role supports a portfolio encompassing key areas such as People, Public Affairs and Partnerships, Commercial and Infrastructure Operations, General Counsel, University Secretary, Marketing, IT and Digital, and Student Administration.
This position is integral to the smooth functioning of the SVPCOO’s office, ensuring that their time and priorities are managed effectively. The Operations Division is dedicated to enabling the University’s strategic goals in teaching, research, and community engagement, fostering collaboration, accountability, and opportunities across staff and student domains.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support, managing the SVPCOO’s calendar, correspondence, and workflow. Your expertise will ensure efficient diary management, seamless communication, and professional coordination of meetings and travel arrangements. You will also act as a key liaison between the SVPCOO, internal teams, and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear and effective communication.

With your ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a high-volume, dynamic environment, you will contribute significantly to the SVPCOO’s ability to execute their responsibilities and achieve their objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will have extensive experience supporting senior executives, exceptional organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while working under minimal supervision. You will also bring excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with proven problem-solving abilities and the capability to develop and apply policies effectively.
