As a member of the Product Competence Team for Material Characterization X-ray, you will work closely with product specialists and application scientists. Following an in-depth training program, you will take on a pivotal role in driving innovation in XRD methodologies and ensuring the performance and reliability of our state-of-the-art instruments and accessories.
Job Description
* Develop new methods and measurement techniques in the field of X-ray diffraction (XRD)
* Measure and analyse customer samples, and validate new instruments and accessories
* Provide application support for customers and international colleagues
* Create support documentation and deliver training to our international sales teams
* Represent the company at international conferences through presentations and workshops
* Plan and execute product installations and customer training in close cooperation with our sales teams
Qualifications
* Degree in a natural science field (e.g. physics, chemistry, or a similar discipline)
* Solid experience in X-ray diffraction (XRD), especially in thin-film measurements (high-resolution XRD, XRR)
* Expertise in XRD data analysis (e.g., Rietveld refinement)
* Programming skills (e.g., Python) are a plus
* Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills
* Outstanding linguistic and didactic abilities
* Fluent in written and spoken English
* Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of your working time

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): € 3.300 to € 4.500.
