Global Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d)
Are you passionate about ensuring supplier quality on a global scale?
Join us as a Global Supplier Quality Engineer and play a key role in shaping supplier standards and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Head of Quality for our Compression Division, leading initiatives that support new product development and enhance supplier performance worldwide.
Your key responsibilities:
* Drive supplier quality performance for new product development and ongoing product quality improvements
* Ensure supplier compliance with customer-defined specifications and standards, focusing on APQP and PPAP processes
* Conduct supplier quality audits and on-site visits, evaluating processes and driving improvements
* Develop zero-failure concepts at supplier sites, ensuring stable, efficient, and reliable processes
* Support the global supplier selection process, contributing to strategic decisions and supplier development
* Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier-related quality issues
* Lead the development of global quality standards, processes, guidelines, and systems
* Deliver quality awareness training to enhance supplier performance and organizational quality culture
* Shape communication and collaboration within the organization, driving effective teamwork
* Prepare and monitor KPIs to report to management and ensure targets are met
* Lead global projects and support local improvement initiatives to drive sustained success
What we are looking for
* Proven expertise in supplier quality management with a strong understanding of quality methods, audits, and compliance regulations
* Experience with supplier evaluation systems and a track record of developing supplier quality
* Advanced project management skills and the ability to lead global initiatives
* Strong team-building and people management skills – you’re a natural collaborator and network builder
* Experience with SAP Quality modules and excellent technical skills
* Fluency in English and ability to communicate across all levels and cultures
* Willingness to travel globally (up to 30%) as needed to support supplier quality initiatives
* A degree in Quality Management or Engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Supplier Quality Development
