Your role and responsibilities
As the R&D Manager Controls, you are responsible for the organizational efficiency and to foster an inclusive and open-minded performance and learning culture for our team delivering market leading automation solutions in the field of PLCs, IOs, Functional Safety and Machine Vision.
Your responsibilities:
1. Leading a multinational team that supports the strategic goals of the company
2. Creating an inspiring and efficient organization and working culture.
3. Ensuring a competitive competence mix and a continuous learning spirit.
4. Driving and enhancing our corporate R&D processes and interfaces following agile principles while respecting industry standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Identifying and managing synergies with other R&D teams across the company
6. Representing our department to internal and external stakeholders, including your peers in the organization, customers and other ABB entities.
7. Leading all HR processes within our team and being the sparring partner for our team leads.
Qualifications for the role
* Engineering degree, ideally in the field of electronics and/or software engineering
* Several years of relevant professional and leadership experience in a comparable management position.
* Fluent in English, German would be an additional asset
* Demonstrable track record of managing cross-functional teams, with a particular focus on hybrid hardware/software products
* Excellent communicator with a hands-on mentality and inclusive leadership style

In order to comply with legal regulations, we refer to the minimum salary of the collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry of € 5.657,48 gross/month. There is a clear willingness to overpay, depending on qualifications and experience.
